I’ve been happily married to Phil for over 30 years and have never made him a blanket of his own, so this is his blanket.
It took me 18 months to make as I had lots of other projects on the go at the same time, including the births of our 2 grandson’s.
 
Size
The bpattern contains 3 different sized blankets, you can either stop crocheting when you have finished the centre panel or keep adding borders until you have made the size you want.
Lap - the central panel x 43 x 43 inches
Double - central panel plus border stars x 68 x 68 inches
King sized - the whole design x 82 x 82 inches’ the centre panel or keep adding borders until you have made the size you want.

Phil's blanket is the ultimate scrap blanket, I've used hundreds of scraps of yarns for other projects.
 
You will also need
Crochet hook
3.25mm or size needed for your tension.
Sewing needle for sewing in loose ends.
